If I had a list of living heroes Sam Stephens would be up in the top section of the list. He is the President of the India Gospel League and one of our Live Out Global partners. I’m amazed that he gets to be with us.

One of the illustrations I shared in the message Sunday at the Indian Creek Gardner campus centered around the fact that at times God lets us wrestle with a particular challenge beyond the point that we think we can handle it. He doesn’t intervene until it seems that it is too late. Here is the story.

The disciples woke him up, shouting, “Teacher, don’t you care that we’re going to drown?” Mark 4:38 When the storms of life burst on us, just like this one did in the scriptures on the original disciples, there are times where it would seem that Jesus must be asleep. Maybe we know he is in our boat but if he is with us how did this disaster just happen?
