Mission Church, where our son Luke Kendall, is on staff does what they call Holiday Gift Mart for their local grade schools. The Church is 14 months old. They are making a memorable impact on the community and winning the confidence of its leaders.

Today Indian Creek’s Gardner Campus teamed up with Mission Southside to serve families in Gardner. Over 60 plus families were served today in multiple ways. When you add in the free Garage Sale over 500 people were served.
12-21-2012 The world didn’t end today. Guess the Mayans were wrong. That’s what happens when you run our of room in your imagination of what God is up to in the world.

Recently I spoke at Indian Creek Gardner on The Gift of Life. I share that message here in case you missed it. Jesus told us how to find true and lasting life.
I think one reason the tragedy in CT strikes such a deep chord in my heart is because I know what it is to lose a child. I took time on Saturday night to slowly read the names and look at the pictures of the children and many of their parents. I recognize those looks of grief.
As a minister, of course, I’ve spent countless hours with people who are struggling and wrestling with the biggest question – the WHY question in the face of relentless tragedies and injustices. And like all ministers or any spiritual guides of any sort, I scramble to try to say something to respond and I always come away feeling inadequate and that’s not going to be any different today. But we can’t shrink from the task of responding to that question.
