I get the privilege of time up close to Bill Hybels a couple of times a year as a host pastor to the Global Leadership Summit and I always come away impressed with his passion for the local church. This year I was gripped by his ability to zero in on the pain of his good friend Gary Schwammlein and the devestating thought that came with it that no one should cry alone. I’ll flesh out the story for you.
Here is the video message from Sunday’s conclusion to the My Church 2013 series. If it ministers to you pass on the link.
This may be the objection I hear more than any other. Many times in a year someone tells me this or that to believe that Jesus is the only way to God is too exclusive (they may use more colorful words I won’t lose here). I found this video on ExploreGod.com.
I appreciated the feedback I received from todays message, Vision, My Church 2013. I’ll post the video when it is available later but if you wanted to have the text I want to make it available. We can do this by the grace of God Indian Creek: Vision_for_Indian_Creek.docx.

People ask me from time to time, “Doesn’t it just shock you that Indian Creek has grown from a small group that met in a home to what it is today?” They’ll continue, “Did you ever imagine multiple campuses and a large full service facility that functions like a community center?” Or my favorite one is, “Did you ever think that thousands of people would find their way back to God at Indian Creek.” I appreciate the sense of awe for what God’s done and I’m truly humbled by His grace. He’s been bett…
Here is the message I spoke at the Olathe campus Sunday as part of the My Church 2013 series. I love the content but my voice is wigged out. One person told me, “Maybe it helped because it made me listen real close.”
Jennifer Hunt is a great friend and former staff member at Indian Creek. She is traveling to India with Belinda and her team next week. Jennifer put together a great video that tells the story of the mission.
I shared this in today’s message and the thought make people laugh and wince at the same time. Butt Prints In The Sand One night I had a wondrous dream, One set of footprints there was seen, The footprints of my precious Lord, But mine were not along the shore. But then some stranger prints appeared, And I asked the Lord, “What have we here?” Those prints are large and round and neat, ” But Lord they are too big for feet.” “My child,” He said in somber tones, “For miles I carried you alone…
