We often pray to see miracles at least I do. Most of the time it is because I find myself in situations where if God doesn’t intervene I know that all that we do will fall woefully short. I found myself in that situation last week.
I’m one of the most competitive people you will ever find and I don’t say that to brag because I’m not sure it is a good thing. I wasn’t a win at all costs kind of guy as in if I would cheat to beat you. But if I could beat you at any game I would.
We prayed as the collective church at the courthouse today in Olathe even though it was 38 degrees and raining sideways (because the wind was blowing). The best way to describe it was, it was raw! I dressed like an Alaskan and got teased as a result but at least I was warm! Someone suggested perhaps our prayers got double credit today.

I’ve mentioned a couple of times this last week on my blog that I’ve been fighting a cold. It has been a heavy-hitting cold with all the effects you hope to avoid: sore throat; cough; head aches fatigue; nasal drainage and I should stop now before you get nauseated (oh and that too). What I want to write about is that it is just like our enemy to jump on us when we are down. During these two weeks I’ve heard the accusing voice of the enemy every day.
On Wednesday of this week I was standing in the sanctuary of the Orlando First Baptist Church passionately singing, His love never fails and never gives up on me, with 5,000 church planters and leaders. We were attending the Exponential Conference 2013 for church planters and leaders. That place was ALIVE with excitement, joy, love and love.
