Last week as I read in the Divine Mentor scripture reading I was struck by how one of Paul’s missionary journeys started off with a prayer filled commissioning and then the trip led him right into persecution. I wrote in my journal, Wow, interesting that after that great send off God took them right into trouble. They worked hard but at the time it appeared they didn’t have much to show for it.
It isn’t very often you get to sit ten feet away from two Kansas Senators one day and four Representative the next in their offices on Capitol Hill to talk about the need for Immigration Reform. This week we get to host the SENTralized Conference at Indian Creek, Thursday through Saturday. It is one of my favorite conferences in the U.S. It brings missional leaders from all over the nation together in one place.
Celebrate with us that we launched a new missional community today. God is putting a desire in the heart of Creekers and Via De Esparaza to serve into the needs of the Latinos among us. The sense of urgency is growing.
